{"id":7795,"date":"2025-07-22T16:21:58","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T21:21:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cherubs.medill.northwestern.edu\/2025\/?p=7795"},"modified":"2026-01-18T23:21:32","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T04:21:32","slug":"a-traditional-editing-exercise-introduces-criticism-to-medill-cherubs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cherubs.medill.northwestern.edu\/2025\/07\/a-traditional-editing-exercise-introduces-criticism-to-medill-cherubs\/","title":{"rendered":"A traditional editing exercise introduces criticism to Medill cherubs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the second day of the program, cherubs gathered to undergo a traditional experience: having their work scrutinized by their professors in real-time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Most cherubs said they weren\u2019t used to getting lots of immediate feedback on their writing, forcing many to quickly adjust to the camp\u2019s higher standards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cara Huang, of Los Angeles, said she has received constructive criticism at school.
