As cherubs face deadlines and conduct interviews, late-night cravings spark a daily ritual that is as essential as AP style \u2013 the snack run.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Emily Paschall of Los Angeles frequents Target after lectures for her weekly trail mix fix. On her fourth bag of the program, the crunchy and portable snack is a staple for writing sessions and early mornings.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI carry it wherever I go because it is much more convenient to have a handful of trail mix for breakfast than to walk to Sargent,\u201d Paschall said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another place to get snacks is Trader Joe\u2019s, which closes at 9 p.m. and offers an array of sweet, salty and spicy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sissi Ma of Beijing goes to the grocery store chain to experiment with their signature snacks, even with the long walk. Her recent purchases include spicy tempura seaweed, ube pretzels and wave-shaped barbeque chips.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGoing to Trader Joe\u2019s is like an adventure \u2013 it\u2019s my favorite spot to buy snacks in Evanston,\u201d Ma said. \u201cBut I need to set out at least an hour because it takes 20 minutes to walk there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Others like Jason Wang, who lives in Shanghai and Toronto prefer a routine when it comes to snacks. His \u201cdaily itinerary\u201d involves going to Target and only buying mangoes \u2013 a quick trip in and out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am not a fan of shopping, so I always know what I want before going to the store,\u201d Wang said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paschall said snacks have been a highlight of her summer.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
