Her umbrella.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThat umbrella became my new best friend,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When it wasn\u2019t raining, Sarah Soroosh Moghadam of Los Angeles headed to Northwestern\u2019s lakefront.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI had no idea that the beach would be right there,\u201d she said. \u201cBring a swimsuit.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forgetful cherubs hit the local Target or Amazon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ever since she bought a lap desk from Target, Charlotte Zhou of New York City loves working with friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIf you\u2019re sitting in the common room, you can easily put your computer on it,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s like a portable table.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Others chose to purchase more entertaining items.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe best thing I have isn\u2019t something I packed,\u201d Dalton Hanna of Los Angeles said. \u201cIt\u2019s the projector I bought off Amazon because everyone loves to watch movies!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other cherub-specific essentials<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Hangers.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Target sells packs of 10, but save yourself the trouble.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Insect repellent.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cThere\u2019s every bug out there. Bring bug spray.\u201d \u2014 Sarah Soroosh Moghadam\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Mirror.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cThere are no mirrors in your dorm. a charging phone on a lofted bed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Bathrobe and shower caddy.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You will share a bathroom with up to 10 people.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Paper towels.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The bathrooms are built with dryers, not towel dispensers. \u201c(And) Pirate\u2019s
